One of our Mission Projects
Twenty-five St. Matthew members, working in conjunction with Rebuilding Together Montgomery County, completed a project to repair the home of a woman living alone in Boyds, MD, determined to stay there despite a heart condition and crippling arthritis.
Here, Rusty Ellis, Saint Matthew elder, measures and prepares lumber supports for the repair of a deck. Other work at the home included cleaning, painting, ceiling replacement, roof patching, tree trimming, fence repair, dishwasher replacement, weeding, mulching and planting. Two St. Matthew members prepared and served lunch to the workers.
